Trading Posts and Fortifications on Genoese Trade Routes. From the Mediterranean to the Black Sea is part of the Tentative list of Ukraine in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Genoese Trading Posts and Fortifications are a selection of sites representing the presence of the Republic of Genoa in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea between the 11th and 15th centuries. The Ukrainian part of this transnational proposal includes the Sudak Fortress on the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. The Sudak Fortress is also on the Tentative List as a single proposal.
